Established in September 1990, the Computer Center (CC) of Huafan University (HFU) provides the faculty, staffs, and students with a good computing environment specifically tailored to teaching, research, and administration.

Since its establishment, the Center has been enhancing its facilities and services. Now, we have two divisions - Networking and Programming. The Networking division provides services of Infrastructure constructions - Internet connections, Campus backbone networks and Server farm administrations. The Programming division provides software development of administrative computerlize, Student affair systems and Admission affair systems.

Campus Network was built by gigabit ethernet backbone with Foundry Bigiron 8000 core switch. The backbone is non-blocking network structure. In Jan. 2004, we upgrade Internet connection to 500mbps. We also use F5 Bigip 5000 load balancer to provide 40m/3.2mbps backup connection to Internet with 5 Hinet ADSLs. At least 4000 physical line connction node and campuswide wireless build a mesh campus Intranet. We also provide a fully cover wireless network around whole campus. Based on those infrastructures, we have all kinds of Internet services like EMail (SMTP/POP/HTTP), Web site, FTP, DNS...

Programming Division focus on Computerlizaion including Administration, Student affair, Admission Affair, General Affair, Accounting, Personel. Based on Windows Solution platform. We build many systems to accomplish requirements of all above.
